Year Two - Mental Health

I wanted to do a project which focused on Mental Health and how important it is. I wanted the posters to be aimed to all age groups but more so school children. In this project I wanted to take a different approach to it and look at where mental health was being used without you fully aware of it. I chose Disney Films: Inside out, Frozen and Big Hero Six. Inside Out is a film that is about a young girl named Riley and focuses on all emotions; Anger, Sadness, Fear, Joy and Disgust.

I chose to use the main character 'Riley' on one poster to show children can look happy on the outside but something could be going on inside their head. Fear from the same film was used to represent 'Anxiety and Panic Attacks'. Big Hero Six character 'Baymax' was used to represent 'Depression' and Frozen main character 'Elsa' was used to represent 'low self esteem and Anxiety'.
